Leschenault Community Nursery

We're very fortunate to have a large number of volunteers with an even larger range of skills who come along, regularly or otherwise, and add to the fun and social atmosphere at the nursery. Between 8 and 20 people come each day with more than 250 people involved over the year.

We have people who are good at fixing things, people who know all about plants or reticulation, people who can use computer databases and people who bake delicious goodies for morning tea. It really doesn't matter what your specialty is or even if you want to try a new one - you will be welcome and there will be a place for you at the nursery.

We also have regular visits from community groups, primary and secondary schools, TAFE students and others who want to learn about growing native plants and why we are so passionate about what we do. These visits provide the chance for us to build new links and in many instances, they have led to exciting and very productive relationships.

Please call the Manager on 9791 4670 if you want to know more about what you can do as a volunteer. Volunteer hours are from 7.30 to noon Monday to Thursday and you are welcome for an hour or a morning; whatever suits you.
