A note from Helen Doe, our new manager

Joining the nursery, Helen brings together her passion for horticulture and the environment and her skills as a business manager. Helen is a qualified horticulturist and has managed retail and wholesale businesses, and ran her own successful manufacturing business for 10 years.

For the last 5 years, she's worked at South West Regional College of TAFE as a coordinator involved in areas of school-based, indigenous, international and community education.
Helen believes the south west environment and its caretakers deserve the best quality endemic plant stock to maintain the beauty and diversity for which the area is famous.
Helen is also keen to encourage home gardeners to use the best that the south west flora has to offer to create beautiful, fauna-friendly, water-wise gardens.

Water and waterway health is high on Helen's priority list, and over the next few months she will be working hard to enable the nursery to provide a diverse range of rushes, sedges and water loving plants to restore waterways and dams, which will provide our environment with clean, healthy, life-giving water.
