ELCOME
South west native plants are grown at the Leschenault Community Nursery where we are dedicated to encouraging the use of local native species in the revegetation and rehabilitation of land, waterways, wetlands and coastal areas in the South West of Western Australia.
To do this, we supply south west native plants to a wide range of clients from shires to farmers to small landholders and urban households.
We grow to order. On average, we grow over 150,000 plants of over 200 species every year. We grow these plants from either seeds or cuttings, most collected locally by our fantastic team of volunteers.
Something happens at the nursery every month of the year, whether it be seed collecting or drying, pricking out tiny new plants, potting seedlings on into larger pots or taking and growing cuttings - it's all go all of the time and that's the way it needs to be for us to grow the vast number of plants we're asked for.

Saturday Market Days return in March 10, 2012, from 8.30am to 12.30pm. Then on Saturday April 14, May 12, June 9, July14,
August 11, September 15, October 13 and November 10, 2012.
We're going to keep track of how busy we get and what our customers tell us about the new Days, and we'll add more Days if our customers ask us to, so make sure you tell us what suits you!
The Market Days provide a platform for us to provide down-to-earth information to grow South West Native plants for people new to gardening with native species, as well as providing them with the plants that will grow well in their area.

South West Native Plants for MARKET DAYS!
The weekly Markets are going well on Tuesdays from 8am to 12 noon. See the Marketing Calendar for when we are open througout 2012. Check out What's in a Name? on the About Us page.
Saturday Market days (marked in Yellow) run throughout the season. Come along between 8.30am and 12.30pm to get your plants. The next one on Saturday 12 May 2012.
