What our Volunteers are saying

“Very Satisfying Work”

“It is very satisfying to be apart of conserving Australian animals and plants. Over the last 18 months at Leschenault Community Nursery, one of the main tasks that I have been involved in has been to maintain 120 grass trees and other local native plants at the nursery, for a Doral Industries natural area restoration project at Yongarillup. “

Volunteer for 18 months

“Thoroughly Recommend”

“I find the work environment here very positive and working with people of a great range of backgrounds means there is never a shortage of things to talk about during the morning tea break. There is a great range of tasks that you can take on and you soon become the ‘go-to’ person in that area. I thoroughly recommend being a volunteer at LCN for anyone who has a yearning to do something fulfilling for the community.”

Volunteer for 4 years

“Welcoming and Safe”

“We thank LCN for providing a welcoming and safe environment for our son Sam to volunteer over the past 6 years. Sam has expanded on his skills, from requiring full assistance to now being able to go about his set tasks with little to no assistance. LCN is a place Sam feels he belongs, is part of a team and most importantly has developed independent growth! Social skills have also developed and the ability to cope with ‘change’, becoming more resilient.”
